Important Information for Our Precinct Committee Persons'

Here are the Duties of a Precinct Committeeman

ELECT

District, County, and State Party leaders who will best represent and implement the philosphies and goals of the precinct constituents.

EXPAND

Your political knowledge and activities.

ACTIVELY SUPPORT

Party activites at the District and County level.

DEMONSTRATE

Awillingness to work toward Party unity and accomplishing Republican Party long range goals.

ELECT

APrecinct Captain who is willing to donate time, energy and leadership to the precinct.

CANVASS

The precinct periodically and keep track of changes in the neighborhood, making sure all Republicans are registered to vote.

RECRUIT

Precinct volunteers. Assign specific blocks to them for door-to-door and telephone work.

ATTEND

Precinct, district and county meetings.

CARRY

Nominating petitions distribute election information and candidate literature in your precinct.

PARTICIPATE

In Get-Out-The-VOTE and election day activities.

 Make  A  Difference

As a Precinct Committeeman, you represent a geographical area established by law for election purposes and are the foundation of the Party.  You are elected as a Official of the Party, as established by State law, and vacancies may be filled by appointment.  Appointments are recommended by the Party and approved by the County Board of Supervisors.
